The Sex Issue!

Dear Reader,

Please visit for The Sex Issue: a celebration of womanhood! This is our first issue of 2008, and features a collection of pieces from around the world that celebrate all definitions and forms of sexuality.

For our feature interview, we spoke to former super-model, the courageous activist Waris Dirie, who leads an international campaign against Female Genital Mutilation. Waris is the UN Special Ambassador for the Elimination of Female Genital Mutilation, and an author. We rejoice in her fight for human justice and women's rights, and hope that her words and story pour into you. This issue's Verses feature the poetry of Toni White, a Chicago based poet and writer. Our Current Events section features a layout in honor of the black women who have been outspoken on issues related to sexuality. We also hear from Polish writer America Martin in Wine of the Bean: Controversial Coffee, a piece exploring the sensual history of coffee. America will serve as our new Director of Bilingual Content. For Spanish and French translations of former issues, please visit the Espanol and Francais tabs on the browser.

Thank you for your support. You have made our growth and success possible. We hope you enjoy.
